Facebook has (finally!) updated its Notes function. The revamped Notes will allow users to issue longer posts in a more professional and polished template. Although still in the early stages, Notes allows Facebook users to have access to a set of basic text formatting tools such as headers, block quotes and bulleted and/or numbered lists, as well as cover images. This means longer posts appear more like a blog as well as being more esthetically pleasing. This update enables brand community managers to use Facebook as another channel to share long-format content in a professional way and increase their reach.
Currently, Notes is only available on the web version of Facebook. There is no word when it will be available on mobile.
Earlier this month Hootsuite added Instagram to its dashboard, saving users time and enabling them to schedule posts in advance. The addition of Instagram to Hootsuite allows brand managers to schedule posts and develop photo captions, engage with followers and cross promote across various social platforms all from one user interface.
