In this week’s #ICYMI we look at the latest updates from Google and LinkedIn that will affect your business.
Google is giving businesses until April 21st to become mobile friendly.
On April 21st Google will be updating its search algorithm to consider mobile-friendliness as a ranking factor in Google search results. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact on Google’s search results.
This means mobile users will find it easier to receive search results that are optimized for their devices. If your business’ website isn’t optimized for mobile devices, Google’s update could hinder you.
If your website isn’t optimized you could already be losing mobile visitors. You can conduct a mobile- friendly test through Google to see if your business is prepared ahead of the April 21st deadline, and read our post on preparing for a mobile-first world here.
LinkedIn has launched Lead Accelerator.
In February, LinkedIn expanded its Marketing Solutions portfolio with Lead Accelerator. The company says it offers marketers the most effective way to reach, nurture and acquire professional customers on and off the LinkedIn platform. LinkedIn also said the service will connect your company to the right professionals with the right content as you make your way through the purchase decision process.
Furthermore, LinkedIn added Network Display, an audience network that gives brands the opportunity to connect with professional audiences through display advertising on LinkedIn and other publisher sites.
In essence LinkedIn’s newly expanded portfolio combines new and existing products together to deliver an integrated set of “full-funnel” marketing solutions. With the “full-funnel” approach, brands can use all of LinkedIn’s marketing solutions products together to build and customize an experience that enhances their needs.
LinkedIn Lead Accelerator is now available in most markets globally, and sold through a LinkedIn sales representative via an annual or quarterly subscription.
